Warehouse management stands on two legs. Inventory and orders.
Inventory.
Stock is held per aisle and bin, and goods-in, counts and transfers all write to the same record.
Orders.
Orders enter a work order, and picking, sorting and packing all run on barcodes.
In sync with the channels.
Stock on the shelf reaches the channels instantly, and a packed order goes back to the channel with its label and invoice.
A warehouse is set up in three steps. Bins, goods-in, first work order.
Define the bins.
You enter warehouse, aisle, row and column, and every bin gets its own barcode. An existing layout is uploaded from Excel.
Put the stock away.
Incoming goods are checked against the delivery note: shortages are rejected, damaged items separated, and what is accepted is written to a bin.
Open the first work order.
You choose the order type, single or multi, and the tote capacity, and the preview shows how many work orders will come out.
What happens during picking? Bin locks, missing items, picking history.
Bin locking.
When picking starts the items are reserved for that picker, and stock is deducted when picking finishes.
Item not found.
An item missing from the bin is flagged on the handheld, and the order moves to Problem Orders.
Picking history.
Who picked which work order and how long it took, with picking and packing times per person.
Stock is held per bin. Counts, transfers and returns all on the same record.
Stock counts.
A count list opens bin by bin, counted is compared with recorded, and the differences are reported.
Transfers between warehouses.
A transfer note is confirmed on despatch and accepted on arrival, and stock in transit is shown separately.
Return inspection.
Returns are checked item by item: sellable goods go back to the bin and damaged ones to the damage bin.
Run your warehouse on barcodes, without mistakes.

The warehouse runs on rules. A work order opens, bins lock, the label prints.
Orders in the pool are split into work orders by the chosen type, single or multi, and the tote capacity.
How it worksMoving from your current warehouse. Bins, opening count, first work order.
Define the bins.
Your existing bin layout is uploaded from Excel, and aisle and bin barcodes are reprinted.
Run an opening count.
The count list is processed and recorded stock is updated to match, while selling carries on.
Open the first work order.
You run one shift on work orders, and after that from the pool.
Six core capabilities. Three on the inventory side, three on the order side.
Bin-level stock.
Every item is held with a warehouse, aisle, row and column address, and scanning the barcode shows where it is.
Work orders and picking.
Orders are split into single or multi work orders, and the handheld walks the picker the shortest route.
Goods-in and purchasing.
Incoming goods are checked against the purchase note: shortages are rejected and what is accepted is written to a bin.
Sorting and packing.
In a multi work order items are sorted into bins, and barcodes are scanned again at packing.
Counts and transfers.
Count lists open bin by bin and differences are reported, while transfers between warehouses are confirmed with a note.
Shipping and handover.
A packed order is ready to ship, handed over with a handover report, and the tracking code is written to the channel.
The warehouse is one system in Pixa. Stock is held per bin and orders are picked against work orders.
